This course is designed as an introduction to EAP/L for professionals in the mental health field. However, the information can easily be applied to anyone interested in learning about the effectiveness of EAP/L practice.
Through group discussion, horse activities and question/answer sessions, participants learn the basics of the EAGALA model, increase self-awareness, increase understanding of how facilitator self-awareness influences the efficacy of the session for the client, and increase understanding of how word choice and body language can negatively impact the client.
